Make sure that all servers setting were set correctly under "Tools -> Account Settings -> Edit -> Servers Settings"
If you are not sure about what to enter then login to your mail account via web browser and refer to Help area. Search for POP3/IMAP4 (for incoming mail) and SMTP (for outgoing mail) settings through FAQs.
