EssentialPIM seems to be running slowly from my USB stick. Is there any way to increase its performance?

In general, this mostly depends on the USB flash drive read/write speed. Although, here’s couple of suggestions you may try:

  1. Empty Trash and delete or archive (using EPIM Archiver) old and not anymore needed items
  2. Optimize database by clicking on File -> Database management -> Optimize
  3. In some cases formatting a USB flash drive helps
