I am trying to connect to a database file over local network or over Internet but EssentialPIM only lets me through if using the SYSDBA (admin) user credentials. How can I connect to the database using another user details?

Please make sure that the username and password are correct. If so, you need to check whether such a user exists in the database and is not disabled. To do so:

  1. Connected to the database as SYSDBA
  2. Navigate to Tools -> Users
  3. Create or enable previously disabled users
